Microsoft entering the VoIP market with Sylantro

Leonardo Faoro - The VoIP Weblog

InfoWorld reports that Microsoft is going into a marketing partnership with Sylantro and AT & T to promote its new Connected Services Framework Service Delivery Platform. While this doesn’t immediately send Cisco, Nortel, and Avaya running for their lives (Microsoft has yet to put a VoIP product with an actual pricetag on the market), it does signal a commitment on Microsoft’s part to having its foot in the VoIP door. Now would be a good time for the established platform players to tightent the laces on their running shoes.
