Skype Push To Talk

Andy Abramson - VoIP Watch

Marry this idea with FastChat from FastMobile and Skype becomes a killer app on mobile phones that are GPRS capable.
What this means to the wVoIP space you ask? Everything. First independent sellers of mobile phones who market unlocked phones becomes a significant part of the market. That means blending VoIP sales with Mobile Phone sales takes on a new meaning. For companies like BridgePort Networks who want to be in the middle of the game this means the handoffs from WLAN to LAN becomes move motivating to carriers. Lastly, this means your Skype contacts can talk with you when you're on a mobile phone using MMS/SMS messaging. Basically, get a Series 60 Symbian phone, like I have. The Nokia 7610 is just one example.
